Hello All,

As you may have heard the July numbers have come out in the last couple of weeks.  Turn to almost any news station and all you’ll hear “number of sales were way down July 2010 vs. July 2009″.  While that may be true no one is screaming the real news which is “SALE PRICES ARE UP OVER 8% FOR THE SAME PERIOD”!  I challenge you to find another place that had an 8% return on your money in the last 12 months, thank you real estate!  It’s not at all shocking the number of transactions is off, the expiration of the tax credit having impact, the season and the reduction in number of  foreclosures just to name a few reasons.   None the less, values went up 8%, beat that!  Unfortunately though, good news doesn’t sell, so heaven forbid the news sources should talk about that.

Interest rates are still at historic lows, inventory is very good and opportunity is knocking.   So if you’re considering home ownership don’t look back and say “I wish I had”.
